Profile:
Much like a vulture, Laserbeak can often be found circling a battlefield after the Decepticons have already claimed victory, sadistically picking off any survivors one by one. Laserbeak gained infamy for the way he slowly crippled his victims before finally moving in for the kill; his viciousness earned him Megatron's attention, and a role as the Decepticons' interrogator. This was a role at which Laserbeak excelled, extracting information from victims before terminating them; and all this in spite of the fact that Laserbeak lacks a traditional vocal processor. Laserbeak so impressed Megatron that he earned further promotion within the Decepticon ranks, being deployed for more dangerous missions like spying and assassination. Unfortunately this exposed Laserbeak's critical flaw: he is an undeniable coward. Laserbeak generally prefers to prey on victims incapable of fighting back; the prospect of an opponent who could - or worse, facing an entire Autobot squadron alone - fills Laserbeak with dread. The actual confrontation often sends Laserbeak into a panicked retreat. Laserbeak's cowardice is well known, and it is only a combination of his loyalty to and fear of Megatron that makes him stand his ground and carry out his missions. Indeed, it is a testimony to Laserbeak's character that in the time he has served as a spy and an assassin he's used his cowardice as motivation for becoming very good at his function, knowing that by slipping in and out of Autobot bases unseen he minimises the odds of a confrontation.Cassette mode:
